James Klaers brings over a decade of experience in the outdoors; rock climbing, backpacking, snowboarding, and ice climbing. His enthusiasm and passion for being in nature is contagious. He has lived in Colorado since he was 12 years old and quickly fell in love with the mountains here. He progressed his skills consistently in the mountains and eventually began to pursue more education to further grow his skills. In 2010, he attended Colorado Mountain College in Leadville for their Outdoor Recreation Leadership Program. Since then, he has begun to travel down the AMGA track and further test his skills on personal time. When not guiding he can be found rock climbing and leading Outward Bound trips in the summer and backcountry splitboarding and ice climbing in the winter.
