Mike Wallace

Mike Wallace grew up in Destin, Florida, surfing and saltwater fishing as a youth. He moved to
the mountains of Colorado in 1993 where he dove into backcountry skiing without
hesitation. He strives to bring a broad knowledge base and a festive, relaxed learning
atmosphere to the courses he helps teach. Mike brings 20+ years of ski touring, ski
patrol, snow science and avalanche technician experience to the curriculum. When not
a fly fishing guide in the summer, Mike Wallace shares the wonder of the mountains through safe
winter travel with groups of passionate people. This setting is mikes happy place.
