Anchor building and evaluation are crucial components of rock climbing and are fundamental skills necessary for anyone who is looking to get out on the rock without the assistance of a guide. In this anchor building course, Apex Mountain School’s professional guides will teach you a diverse array of techniques for constructing secure anchors in a multitude of climbing scenarios including top roping, lead climbing, and multi-pitch climbing.

Apex’s rock climbing anchors course is offered to all ages and fitness levels. No previous anchor building experience is required. A private guide, and all technical rock climbing gear (rock climbing shoes, ropes, helmets, harnesses, etc.) are included.
