Jordan grew up in the east coast. Pennsylvania to be exact, where he started snowboarding at age eleven. In Pennsylvania he graduated with a Mechanical Engineering degree from Penn State. Shortly after, he moved north to chase better snow in Vermont. There, he really dove into the backcountry scene and realized that his passion for snow and engineering background were tied together perfectly in Avalanche study. In 2011 he finally made his lifelong dream of moving to Colorado a reality. He joined forces with Friends of Berthoud Pass to teach avalanche awareness and with Apex Mountain School to instruct AIARE courses.
Jordan enjoys being outdoors any chance that he can get. Above all, he loves traveling the world with his wife to explore new destinations and experience new things. He is still involved in the avalanche education community even though he moved back to Pennsylvania in 2018.
