Joshua Tree National Park is rock climber’s paradise. With more than 8,000 routes in the park, there’s something for everybody. Widely considered one of the premier rock climbing destinations in the US, climbing with Apex Mountain School at Joshua Tree National Park offers an unforgettable adventure.

Our 7-day itinerary is developed according to your objectives and goals. Lodging and meals can generally be specified according to your  preferences. Apex Mountain School guides are committed to doing everything we can to ensure your visit to Joshua Tree National Park exceeds your expectations.

The experience of a lifetime

The landscape of Joshua Tree National Park is uniquely magical. Desert-like, with rock formations of quartz monzonite, a type of granite, the park is home to a variety of wildlife. Rock art, including petroglyphs and pictogryphs, can be found if you’re looking carefully, etched and painted on the walls and patina. Apex is a permitted guide service in the park, and is thus allowed to guide at all established climbing areas and routes at the park. This makes it possible for a massive number of phenomenal climbs, varying from single-pitch routes to three-to-six-pitch routes. With more than 8,000 established routes in Joshua Tree National Park, you can be certain that our guides will provide you with a memorable climbing experience away from the crowds.
