Beginner to Advanced
Multi-pitch climbing in Colorado is an excitingly different way to experience Colorado rock climbing. Multi-pitch climbing involves ascending the rock more than one rope length off of the ground. The lead climber advances up the rock, establishing intermittent anchors to secure their party to, effectively “pitching” out the route. Using this method, the climbing group can ascend to any height, only limited by time and ability.
Enjoy a lower angle and steady climb up the Flatirons, climb the edge of the Colorado Plateau in The Colorado National Monument, or challenge yourself on a spire at the famous Fisher Towers or Castle Valley. These mountain and desert multi-pitch towers are known as some of the most spectacular tower climbs in the world.
One of our most unforgettable experiences is an overnight stay atop a 12 foot wide desert tower summit! Climb this 500 foot tower and anchor in on top for the night. In the morning, awake to watch an amazing sunrise over western Colorado. Make multiple rappels to the ground and enjoy a beautiful and reflective morning hike out of the desert. This trip might just be one of the best experiences of your lifetime.
You’ll soon realize why these formations have gained the reputation of being some of the most exciting rock towers around. Multi-pitch climbing a desert or mountain rock tower is sure to be an unforgettable experience.
“We had a great time climbing the Flat Irons. It was the perfect mix of a challenging ascent, relaxing moments on the rock, and fun/safe guides.” – Karim Nice
