No prior mixed climbing experience is necessary! Our guides will customize the outing based on your climbing background and comfort level. Whether you’re new to climbing or have experience with rock or ice climbing, we’ll select routes that fit your abilities and help you build confidence on this exciting terrain. During your mixed climbing experience, our guides can cover a variety of skills, including proper use of ice tools on rock, balancing techniques, crampon placement, voice commands, and belaying. You’ll learn how to effectively combine rock climbing and ice climbing strategies to ascend challenging terrain.

A full body balancing act supporting all of your weight on four half centimeter wide points at the tips of your crampons and ice tools, allows you to move upward on minute ledges of rock to reach small sections of ice. Mixed Climbing is an activity that is sure to challenge your mind and athleticism. Climbs range from 30 to 100+ feet in height, and offer a challenge for all skill levels and experience. Our guides will work with you to select routes that meet your specific goals and skill set, whether you are a first time climber or an experienced intermediate ice climber.
