What level of climbing experience is required for a multi-pitch trip?
We guide climbers ranging from advanced beginners to seasoned alpinists. Because multi-pitch climbing involves being high on a wall for consecutive hours, participants should have basic outdoor or gym climbing experience, feel comfortable with height exposure, and understand standard knot integrity. Sharing your climbing background with our office ahead of time helps us coordinate the ideal route progression for your group.
Where do we meet for our multi-pitch outing?
To maximize your time on the rock, we can coordinate to meet you directly at the trailhead for your designated climbing venue, or you can meet at our main office for a technical gear fitting and pre-trip planning brief. Let our administration team know what is most convenient for your party’s travel itinerary during the booking process.
How long are the multi-pitch climbing days?
Multi-pitch objectives are sustained, full-day mountain endeavors. You should expect to spend between 6 to 9 hoursactively engaged on the route, depending on the specific location, environmental factors, and your group’s movement pacing.
Is our technical climbing gear included in the rate?
Yes. We provide all necessary technical equipment at no additional cost, including ropes, certified helmets, harnesses, belay devices, and tracking hardware. You are also welcome to bring your personal climbing kit if you prefer to train on your own technical gear.

- Pre-Trip Planning – Meet at our office in Avon or at the trailhead. We’ll go over gear, the day’s objectives, and route selection.
- Approach Hike – Depending on location, hikes may range from 15 to 60 minutes. Your guide will pace it to your comfort level.
- Multi-Pitch Climb – Ascend a series of connected pitches while learning rope management, anchor systems, route finding, and efficient movement techniques. Instruction is fully customized to your goals and ability.
- Summit & Descent – Enjoy expansive views and a well-earned summit moment before rappelling or hiking down with your guide.
