Beginner Backcountry Skiing
Is this trip suitable for me, even if I’m new to backcountry skiing?
Absolutely! Our beginner backcountry skiing trip is perfect for those with minimal to no off-piste ski experience. We can adapt the outing to your skill and fitness level. Plus, our guides will connect with you beforehand to create an itinerary that fits your goals and needs perfectly.
What gear do I need to bring for this trip?
You’ll need to bring your own skis or splitboard, along with a backpack carrying the usual items you take when skiing (e.g., snacks, water, and extra upper layers for changing conditions). We don’t provide ski rentals directly but are happy to recommend trusted rental shops in the area. For avalanche safety equipment (beacon, probe, shovel), you don’t need to bring your own—rentals are available through us during the booking process. If needed, you can also borrow a gear bag from our office, subject to availability. For a complete packing list, please see our “What to Bring” tab.
