Winter Guided

Denver Ice Climbing

Where do we climb near Denver?

We guide climbs in Clear Creek Canyon—just about an hour from Denver and Boulder. It’s the closest natural ice-climbing venue to the Front Range

Does my child need to have climbed before?

Not at all! No prior climbing experience is required. We welcome first timers and returning climbers alike.

What if I’ve never even rock climbed before?

That’s totally okay! Ice climbing is a great intro to the world of vertical sports. The movement is different from rock climbing, and many first-timers do better than they expect.

Is this a good winter adventure for visitors to Colorado?

Absolutely! Ice climbing offers a unique Colorado winter experience that’s far less crowded than ski resorts—and more memorable for many.

Do I need to be in great shape to participate?

You don’t need to be a gym rat, but a base level of fitness helps. If you can comfortably hike for an hour and do some basic upper-body work (e.g. holding tools above your head), you’ll do great.
